Qalat: In a significant counter-terrorism operation n Friday night, security forces thwarted an attempted roadblock by terrorists in the Mangochar area of Kalat.
Acting swiftly, law enforcement agencies eliminated 12 terrorists, preventing a major attack. However, during the intense exchange of fire, 18 brave soldiers of Frontier Corps (FC) Balochistan embraced martyrdom while defending the nation.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the terrorists aimed to disrupt peace in Balochistan by targeting innocent civilians. Security forces are conducting sanitization operations to apprehend the perpetrators, facilitators, and supporters behind this heinous act.
President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed deep sorrow over the martyrdom of 18 security personnel. They extended heartfelt condolences to the families of the martyrs and praised the security forces for neutralizing 12 terrorists.
President Zardari commended the forces for their successful operation, emphasizing that enemy elements are attempting to destabilize Balochistan’s peace. He reaffirmed that counter-terrorism efforts will continue to eradicate threats.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reiterated the nation's unwavering support for security forces in the fight against terrorism, stating that the sacrifices of brave soldiers strengthen Pakistan’s resolve against terrorism.
Earlier this morning, the attacks were reported in Qalat on Friday night but no casualties were reported or confirmed by the authorities.
